Where Google Ads budgets leak
When we audit an account, the same handful of problems account for most wasted spend: broken or double-counted conversion tracking, no negative keyword list letting broad match wander into irrelevant searches, one campaign for everything so budget can't be steered, and ad copy that never changes. None of these are exotic — they're just invisible unless someone looks.
How we manage accounts
- Fix measurement first. Nothing is scaled until conversions are tracked accurately and verified end-to-end.
- Structure for control. Campaigns and ad groups organised so budget follows intent and performance can actually be read.
- Mine the search terms. Regular review of what people actually searched, adding negatives and promoting winners into their own groups.
- Test copy and assets continuously. Headlines, descriptions and extensions tested against each other rather than set once.
- Optimize to business metrics. We manage to cost per acquisition and return on ad spend, not impressions or click-through rate.
Ads and organic, working together
Search ads deliver immediate, controllable demand; SEO compounds over time without a per-click cost. Ads also produce something SEO can't buy: fast data about which keywords genuinely convert, which we feed straight into content priorities. Running both under one team is how that loop closes. For social platforms, see Meta Ads.
